MEET THE FILMMAKER
HEY, I'M TAYLOR
DRAWN TO FIRE IN LIFE, LOVE, STORIES, AND PEOPLE, I CREATED EMBERWILD FILMS BECAUSE I WANT TO KNOW WHAT SETS YOU ON FIRE – AND CAPTURE IT.
Born and raised in Texas, I have called Austin home since my college days at St. Edward's University. I studied theatre, originally drawn to a career in acting. But one play after another, I found myself on the other side of the curtain, learning the ropes of lighting, sound, & directing. In addition, I worked for a local production company, where I dove into the world of indie filmmaking. These experiences gave me foundational skills in all sides of production. Now, much to my own mother's surprise, I love being on the other side of the camera.

When I’m not filming weddings, you will find me writing poetry, doing yoga, making narrative films, baking another batch of pumpkin bread, or endlessly watching Grey’s Anatomy.

I don’t have a specific filmmaking style. I have a mission to bring your story to life. That’s why I want to know about you and your love –– how you met, why you are getting married, what you are excited about for the future.
Your film will feel like you.
Here's how I get there:
-
Minimalism. I am there to adapt, not intrude. I aim to blend in on your special day, disrupting as little as possible so the true story can tell itself.
-
Real moments. I avoid manufactured moments and posing as much as possible. I want to capture people in their natural states and let moments unfold authentically.
-
Small details. I seek out the quiet details and subtle emotions that help tell your story. You’ve been laser focused on the wedding plan, but I want you to be able to look back on your wedding day and relive all the special experiences you couldn’t have planned, the magic in the unexpected moments.
-
Audio. Capturing audio throughout the day is super important to me. Moments of affection shared with your partner, speeches by loved ones, and everything in between. Audio brings out deeper elements of your story, allowing me to reveal the foundation your wedding day was built on.
